Swimming At Workington Leisure Centre

Swimming is a great way to have fun and get healthy, whatever your age or level of ability. Here at Workington Leisure Centre you have access to a great range of sessions, which means that when it comes to developing your skills, teaching your child or just having fun, there’s never been a better time to take the plunge.

Mid-week Swim for fitness sessions are shared pool with Swimming lessons, this is reflected in the reduced capacity. 

At Workington Leisure Centre we also have

Swim For Fitness

Lane Swimming to suit all speeds and fitness levels to ensure you get the most out of your swim.

Competent lane swimmers over the age of 11 are allowed to book Swim For Fitness sessions.

Swimmers ages 11-15 should be competent swimmers of a club standard. 

Your booking is for 1 hour and includes changing time.

Swim For all

A general Swim Session for all ages and abilities for fun and fitness.

One competent adult (16yrs+) swimmer may supervise up to 2 under 8's or non swimmers under 16 at a time.

Your booking is for 1 hour and includes changing time.

Sessions run Saturday and Sunday.

We have trained and dedicated Swimming Instuctors at Better Workington delivering a wide range of classes from Swimbies to development Gold.
