Junior membership
Start your child's fitness journey with a Better Health Junior Membership for as little as £13 per month.
Available for juniors under 18 years old, this membership will give access to junior fitness classes, junior gym, swimming, and racquet sports in all of our Better Belfast leisure centres.
Please note 16 and 17 year olds wanting full gym and class access would need to take out the appropriate student or adult membership.
Junior Gym Induction
All juniors are required to book and attend a junior gym induction before attending the first junior gym sessions. Junior inductions are conducted by our level 2 qualified Fitness Instructors in small groups of no more than five people and are 30 minutes long. During the inductions, our Instructors will go over all health & safety information about the gym, explain the gym etiquette, demonstrate the equipment that juniors are allowed to use during the sessions, and show how to use it safely.
Junior gym
Junior gym is available for young people aged 11-17 years old, giving them an opportunity to workout at designated timeslots.
Our team is on hand to guide through correct exercise technique.
Booking is required for all junior sessions. You can book online, at reception, or through the BetterUK app.
Sessions take place Monday to Thursday 3:30pm - 5:30pm & Friday 2:30pm - 4:30pm.
Adult and Junior Gym Sessions
Calling all gym members with children! Would you like to bring along your child to train with you in the gym? Our 'Adult and Junior Gym' sessions allow this. Adults needs to book this session and must supervise and accompany the child at all times.
Session Days & Times: Monday - Friday 6:00pm-8:30pm & Saturday & Sunday 12:00noon -4:00pm
Supervision: Please note that the adult/parent must actively supervise the child at all times and takes responsibility for the child's conduct and safe use of machines. Only children between 11-17yrs are permitted in the session, and it is limited to one child per one supervising adult. If an adult is not supervising the child or the child misuses the gym equipment or misbehaves, both parties may be asked to leave.
