At Whiterock Leisure Centre we offer a fantastic 25m, 6 lane pool. 

We programme our pool with a varity of lane swimming, family sessions, lessons and club swimming to benefit the community in West Belfast.

If you’re honing your swimming technique, or introducing your little one to the pool, you’re in great hands.

Whiterock leiusure centre offers a range of swimming lessons and courses for all ages and abilities, with expert guidance from qualified swimming instructors.

The average temperature of the pool is 29C

Swim for fitness - lane swimming for competent swimmers, aged 11 and over.

Swim for all - general swim, with some lanes, for all ages and abilities.

Aqua Aerobic - fitness class delivered by experienced and qualified instructor.

Swimming lessons - run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday to suit every level and ability.

Better Swim School

Swimming not only gets kids active but it’s a life skill, as well as a life saving skill.

At Whiterock we teach children from 4 years old to swim in a safe and fun environment, focusing on fundamentals, water confidence, and the four main strokes.

Continuous and ongoing assessments mean that as your child progresses they can move up through the stages at any time.

You can also track their progress through the home portal.  Once registered, you'll be able to log in to access information and updates directly from your swimming instructor.

Swim school members also get the added benefit of free swimming outside of their lesson time.

If it's just swimming that you're interested in, for only £25.35 per month our single-activity swimming membership means you'll get unlimited access to swimming.

Are Better swimming pools accessible?

Many of our pools have Poolpod lifts and accessible changing rooms so everyone can enjoy swimming. Our teachers are trained to deliver lessons for people with disabilities and our centre staff are also always on hand to help if you have access needs.

Our Inclusive UK membership – which includes access to our pools - also provides access for carers and personal assistants so you have the support you need.
