Court Hire
Playing badminton is a great way to have fun and stay healthy, whatever your age or level of ability. Whether you’re booking a court as a group, to compete against others or want to learn how to play, Rainbow Leisure Centre has a range of badminton options for you to enjoy.
Here at Rainbow Leisure Centre we have a sports hall that has four full sized badminton courts available for hire throughout the day.
Badminton courts are avaliable to hire, for either 45 minute or 1 hour sessions.
No Strings Badminton
Aimed to provide a casual and enjoyable badminton experience for adults 16+. We offer No Strings Badminton sessions at Rainbow Leisure Centres.
In partnership with Badminton England, our No Strings badminton sessions are designed to let you practice, socialise and play against other local community residents in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Don’t worry if you don’t have the equipment, as we provide everything you’ll need to take part. Whether you’re just starting out or a pro on the badminton court, get in touch with us at Rainbow Leisure Centre.
No Strings Badminton is avaliable on a Monday night 8pm - 10pm.
Badminton Rules
- The lead booker must arrive before anyone is allowed on the court. Under no circumstances will we accept players playing without the lead booker present
- Only 4 players (which includes the lead booker can play on that court). These must be the same players that start the booking, so no swapping in between the booking time
- ID will be asked for at Reception to prove membership
- Any non-memebrs must pay an adminton fee - £2 for Adults and £1 for Junior is made at Reception, not online. Can be done in 1 payment or separate payments for each player (Via Reception)
- The lead booker doesn’t pay the charge, so 2nd, 3rd and 4th player pays if they are non-members (no more than 4 per court – so if there are more than this, (we will refuse entry)
- If the player stays on court for a double session, they don’t pay admission fee again.
- No spectators are allowed other than when accompaning juniors
- Admission fee doesn’t apply to GLL programmed activities such as Club Badminton or No Strings Badminton
