British Cycling

British Cycling is the national governing body for cycle sport in Great Britain. It administers most competitive cycling in Great Britain, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. It represents Britain at the world body, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and selects national teams, including the Great Britain (GB) Cycling Team for races in Britain and abroad. As of 2020, it has a total membership of 165,000.

Lea Valley Cycling Club

Lea Valley Cycling Club was set up in 1969 by the amalgamation of the Crescent Wheelers Cycling Club and the Comet Cycling Club. The Crescent was founded in 1903 and the Comet in 1904. ‍Lea Valley Cycling Club was formed in 1969 when two clubs merged: the Crescent Wheelers (f.1903) and Comet Cycling Club. A third club, University Cycling Club, also merged with Lea Valley Cycling Club in 2000. Even though Lea Valley Cycling Club is only 50 years old, our roots date back well over 100 years.

Lee Valley Youth Cycling Club

Lee Valley Youth Cycling Club offers coaching sessions and social ride opportunities for 6 to 18 year old riders to enjoy cycling, socialise and enjoy the sport in a fun and friendly environment. As a Go-Ride Accredited club, all the coaching activities are run by British Cycling qualified coaches, all of whom have undergone a DBS check. The club was founded in 2000 and has grown to become one of the largest youth cycling clubs in the UK

Woolwich Cycling Club

Formed in 1884, Woolwich Cycling Club are based in South East London. Whether it’s racing, training or social rides, they are a club that has something for everyone. Members take part in a wide range of disciplines within cycling including circuit racing at venues such as Lee Valley Velopark, long distance events, hill climbs, sportives and simply riding for leisure. Most of the 100+ members are based in South East London, but they extend far into Kent and back into London. Woolwich Cycling Club is a 21st Century club open to all.

Velo Club Londres

Velo Club Londres are a cycling club based in South London. The club participate in all forms of cycling, including track, road and cyclo-cross. They are a Go-Ride cycling club with equality, diversity and inclusion as fundamental core values, ensuring their success as a high performance cycling club with a positive and supportive culture, where all members feel empowered and respected.

London Fields Triathlon Club

London Fields Triathlon Club was formed in October 2009. The club aims to promote triathlon through a variety of coached sessions and organised events, offering affordable, rewarding experiences in the sport for members of the local community. They provide training and competition in a friendly environment for everyone from complete novices to hardened Ironman veterans. They are a not for profit, community focused club run by volunteers where members get out what they put in, which is often a lot of time, energy and love!

Bikeworks

As a social enterprise, Bikeworks generates income through its trading activities, for example Team Building Challenges, Cycle Maintenance Courses, and Cycle Instructor Training Courses. The surplus generated from these activities goes back into providing free to access inclusive community cycling initiatives, such as our All-Ability Clubs, where 3,000 people with disabilities and carers attend our regular club sessions for free across London, accessing specialist cycles and our skilled team of Instructors.
