Christmas coffee morning success.

Friday the 13th of December marked the very first coffee morning at Oasis Sports Centre, and we are glad to say it was a huge success.  

Smiles and laughs were spread across the centre for the two hours as we hosted this brilliantly fun get-together; a social event that allows our team to learn more about and interact with our amazing members. Coffee mornings are a brilliant way of making this happen - what a great way to start your day. 

Mince pies, coffees, teas, and biscuits were enjoyed by all those who attended, many having a leisurely swim in Oasis’ amazing, heated, outside pool, alongside the sauna and steam, just before the event started. 

With a Christmas theme this time round, the main attraction for the morning was decorating our Christmas trees, both indoors and out. There were a few battles between everyone on what colour decoration to put on which tree and where, but by the end, both trees were raw with Christmas spirit. 

The Oasis Christmas quiz also sought out the competitive side in everyone, with team ‘Jingle Bells’ taking home the victory with 15 points out of a possible 24! Winning their team a few packets of biscuits to take home with them. With rounds based on Christmas traditions, songs, movies and food, it was no wonder everyone left with Christmas spirit filling their hearts and mince pies filling their bellies, excited to begin the countdown to Christmas. 

There will be many more Oasis Sports Centre coffee mornings to come in 2025 with multiple different themes and focuses. We cannot wait to be part of them!
