Fitness classes

Our weekly Fitness Class programme at Leyton Leisure Centre take place in our fitness studio, Group Cycle studio or gym floor. Activities vary throughout the week to suit your personal schedule and provide you with a range of exercises to target the entire body.

Get your heart pumping in a Power Pump class or find your Zen with Yoga, our Fitness classes are open to all; beginners, intermediates and experts.

Group cycle class

Cardio Classes

Cardio classes are high-intensity workouts that are designed to increase your heart rate and burn calories. These classes are a great way to challenge yourself and improve your cardiovascular fitness. They are typically set to music and provide a fun and energetic way to get in a good workout.

Classes available:

Aerobics
Get fit the fun way. You’ll perform a range of cardio moves, taking each at your own pace, all guided by our friendly, motivational instructors.

Aerobics Basics

Our Adult Basics classes are designed for beginners, seniors or anyone looking to get back into fitness after a break. Using lower intensity options with simpler movements, you’ll be able to take part in these classes whatever your activity or fitness level.

Aqua Aerobics

Get a full-body workout in a fun and friendly environment with our Aqua Aerobics classes. Feel all the benefits of a cardio workout without putting any stress on your joints.

Boxfit

Combining boxing moves with invigorating aerobic exercise to give you a great all-over workout, our Boxfit classes are ideal for boosting your cardio fitness. Work out in a safe and non-competitive environment and achieve your fitness goals.

Fitness Rebounding

Shake up your exercise routine with our Fitness Rebounding cardio classes. This low-impact, high-energy class involves using trampolines for a different way to get fit.

Functional Fitness
Improve your strength and balance with this cardio and toning-focused session. Work through exercises designed to work every muscle group in your body and improve your overall fitness.

Group Cycle
Push yourself with this fun and intense cardio fitness class. Group Cycle is an exciting yet rigorous form of endurance training, ideal for improving lower-body strength and kicking your cardio fitness up a gear.

Step Aerobics

Step it up and get in great shape. A motivational class using a platform and fast music for a high intensity workout. It’s so much fun, you’ll forget you’re working out!

Strength and Conditioning Classes

Strength and Conditioning classes are a great way to improve your overall fitness and physical abilities. These classes are designed to help you build strength, improve posture, and tone your body. Whether you are just starting your fitness journey or looking to add some variety to your workout routine, these classes are suitable for people of all fitness levels. With a focus on weight training and functional movements, Strength and Conditioning classes will help you develop the strength, power, and endurance you need to reach your fitness goals.

Body Conditioning
Looking for a whole body workout that’ll leave you feeling fantastic? These intense, exciting body conditioning classes combine cardio and toning exercises for a full-on, high-energy workout. Once you start, you won’t ever want to stop.

Circuit Training
Tackle a sequence of physical challenges designed to get you fitter and stronger. In a Better circuit’s class, you’ll perform a testing mix of bodyweight drills and equipment exercises in a chain of circuit training stations. 

Legs, Bums and Tums 
Get fit, raise your fitness levels and feel stronger with this fun workout. Featuring a range of bodyweight exercises like squats, lunges and sit ups you’ll target and tone your lower body with this strength and fitness class.

Power Pump
Get your body pumping to a driving beat with one of our motivating pump fitness classes. Fusing high-energy routines with challenging weights, our pump workouts are a full-body blast that will put you on the fast track to fitness.
