We have a variety of different options available too, including pay as you go and our Better Health Senior membership
If you're aged 60 or over and looking to get more active, our Better Health Senior membership allows you to access the gym, swimming pool, health sutie and aqua aerobics classes at Broadway Leisure Centre, all at a competitve price.
We believe that staying socially active is just as important as staying physically active - at any age. That's why we run regular senior swim sessions and aqua aerobics classes, offering you the opportunity to meet new people and grow friendships near you.
If that wasn't enough, Better is a not for profit organisation, all proceeds from your membership fees are reinvested right back into your local community, enabling us to make fitness more accessible to everyone.
Did you know Manchester residents aged 60+ are eligible for our free swimming scheme? That's right! Registering for the MCRactive card enables you to swim for free in swim for fitness, swim for all, swim for women and swim for senior sessions at Broadway Leisure Centre.

To be eligible for this scheme, the card holder must live in the city of Manchester, paying council tax to Manchester City Council.
Please be advised that Failsworth and Chadderton residents fall under Oldham Council and are therefore inelligible for this scheme.
Aqua Aerobics classes are a great way to mix up a traditional gym workout with the wondrous benefits of water. It only takes a few sessions before you'll see a big difference in your overall fitness.
In our Aqua Aerobics classes, the water supports the body putting less stress on your joints and muscles and the impact of gravity is less in the water allowing a greater range of motion.
Our sessions run as follows:

There are many health benefits for swimming including improved heart health, it's gentle on the joints, increases flexibility, muscle strength and tone and is a good booster for your mental health too!
At Broadway Leisure Centre we run three dedicated swim for 60+ sessions a week.
Wednesdays 11:00 - 12:00
Fridays 09:00 - 10:00 & 10:00 - 11:00
These sessions are included in the Better Health Senior membership and for Manchester residents aged 60+, these sessions are included as part of your free swimming access.
You can book online or via the Better UK app, but also can book in person at the centre too!
