Fitness Classes at Moss Side Leisure Centre

Staying motivated can always be a challenge, but with our huge fitness class programme here at Moss Side Leisure Centre, you're spoilt for choice! From Cardio classes that will get your heart pumping to Mind and Body classes to help you relax, you’ll find a wide range of fitness classes on our timetable to keep you active and have fun.

Our workout classes are grouped into key categories below, which can help you to identify the right classes for you.

Mind & Body

Whether you’re looking for a strength and balance-building Pilates class or want to feel the benefits of a low-impact cardio workout with a Yoga session, our Mind and Body classes will help you feel revived and refreshed.

New to exercise? Our Mind and Body Basics classes involve a range of  exercises for beginners, seniors or those looking to build their confidence in the gym and boost their fitness.

So, whether you’re looking to improve your mobility or add time for meditation and reflection into your daily routine, these group low impact workout classes are a great option for everyone, no matter your ability level.

Mind & Body

Class Class Description

 

Yoga

Best for: Wellbeing, mobility and total body conditioning.

Embrace the flow of natural body movements to develop strength, flexibility and a peaceful state of mind. Helping you develop strength and balance, Yoga classes combine movement and meditation to improve your mental and physical health.

 

Pilates

Best for: Low-impact, mobility, and strength.

Gently train your physique and improve core strength in a calming atmosphere with Pilates. Combining a range of low impact cardio and strength exercises, this class will teach you focus and muscle control as you transition smoothly between movements to build a revived and resilient you.

Cardio

Whether you want to push yourself with a fast-paced Group Cycle class or feel the benefits of a full-body combat workout, our Cardio classes will help you achieve your fitness goals.

Finding the motivation to workout can be tricky, especially when it comes to cardio. Our group cardio workout classes will give you the boost you need to get your body moving in a fun and friendly environment.

 

Cardio

Class Class Description
Group Cycle

Best for: Lower-body strength and total body conditioning.

Push yourself with this fun and intense cardio fitness class. Group Cycle is an exciting yet rigorous form of endurance training, ideal for improving lower-body strength and kicking your cardio fitness up a gear.

Step Aerobics

Best for: Coordination and total body fitness.

Step it up and get in great shape. A motivational class using a platform and fast music for a high intensity workout. It’s so much fun, you’ll forget you’re working out!

HiiT

Best for: Total body conditioning and endurance.

Get better results faster with one of our HIIT classes. Push yourself to the limit with 30 minutes of quick, intense bursts of exercise followed by short recovery periods that will keep your heart rate up and help you reach your fitness goals. 

Aqua Aerobics

Best for: Low impact, mobility and total body conditioning.

Get a full-body workout in a fun and friendly environment with our Aqua Aerobics classes. Feel all the benefits of a cardio workout without putting any stress on your joints. Turn your workout up a level with our Deep Aqua Aerobic option for stronger swimmers.

Strength & Conditioning

From Power Pump classes that will burn some serious calories to Body Conditioning classes that provide a high-energy workout, we have a range of Strength and Conditioning classes for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you want to build muscle or tone your whole body, our classes provide strength training and muscle conditioning to help you stay active and improve your overall fitness.  

These classes are also designed for everyone to be able to take part, regardless of fitness level or ability.

Strength & Conditioning

Power Pump

Best for: Total body conditioning and strength

Get your body moving to the beat with one of our motivating pump fitness classes. Fusing high-energy routines with challenging weights, our power pump training workouts are a full-body blast that will put you on the fast track to fitness.

Legs, Bums & Tums

Best for: Strength, toning and total body conditioning

Get fit, raise your fitness levels and feel stronger with this fun workout. Featuring a range of bodyweight exercises like squats, lunges and sit ups you’ll target and tone your lower body with this strength and fitness class.

Body Conditioning

Best for: Total body conditioning and strength

Looking for a whole body workout that’ll leave you feeling fantastic? These intense, exciting body conditioning classes combine cardio and toning exercises for a full-on, high-energy workout. Once you start, you won’t ever want to stop.

Core Conditioning

Best for: Strengthening your core and improving your posture

This low-impact strength training class will help you get stronger and improve your posture while being gentle on your joints. Use a range of equipment and your own bodyweight to tone your muscles and develop a stronger core.

Circuit Training

Best for: High-intensity workout, cardio fitness and resistance training

Feel the rush of a total body workout with our energetic circuit training classes. Mixing bodyweight drills and equipment-led exercises, work through a sequence of physical challenges designed to get you fitter and stronger.

Dance

Think you’ve got two left feet? Even if you’ve never danced before, everyone can take part in our dance fitness classes, no matter their fitness or ability level.

Dance Fitness

Best for: Cardio fitness, stamina and endurance

Dance yourself fit with our Dance Fitness classes. These aerobic-style classes combine exercise and choreographed movements with infectious music to make staying active fun and easy.

Pre & Post Natal

The beneifts of keeping active during and after pregnancy are endless, from stengthening up to pain relief and having fun. 

 

The class gives you all the beneifts of cardiovascular exercise and provide natural levels of low-impact resistance that's gentle on the joints.

Aqua-Natal

Water-based exercise class especially desgined for preganant women. 

Class aims to help you keep gently fit without damaging any joints or ligaments.
