North City Swim Teachers Complete SEND Training to Enhance Inclusive Lessons 
The swim teachers at North City Family and Fitness Centre are making waves in accessibility by completing specialized training focused on supporting children and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). 

This initiative underpins the centre’s commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can feel confident, safe, and empowered in the water. 

Empowering Teachers to Support All Learners 
The training has equipped the team with strategies to better understand and address the unique needs of individuals with conditions such as autism, Down syndrome, sensory processing difficulties, and physical disabilities. 

Participants learned: 
Inclusive teaching techniques tailored to individual abilities. 
How to create a sensory-friendly pool environment. 
Methods for building trust and boosting confidence in the water.
