Here at the National Squash Centre in Manchester we offer a comprehensive squash programme that caters to players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to elite athletes.

Located in the vibrant Etihad Campus, this world-class facility is home to several top-quality squash courts, including an iconic glass show court that hosts major national and international competitions.

The programme emphasises skill development, fitness, and strategy, providing professional coaching, junior programmes, and community sessions to encourage participation and growth in the sport.

In addition to hosting training for Team England’s squash athletes, the centre is open to the public, not only helping to produce top-tier athletes but also to make squash accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Junior Squash

A fun way to get fit and learn the fundamentals of agility, balance, and coordination. Offering a great social environment in a programme full of games, led by England Squash qualified coaches. 

Monday

  • Junior Beginners (ages 5-9) 4:45pm - 5:30pm
  • Junior Intermediates (ages 10+) 5:30pm - 6:15pm
  • Junior Intermediate Plus (invite only) 6:15pm - 7:00pm

Tuesday

  • Junior Beginners (ages 5-9) 4:45pm - 5:30pm
  • Junior Intermediates (ages 10+) 5:30pm - 6:15pm

Thursday

  • Junior Beginners [Girls] (ages 5-10) 4:45pm - 5:30pm

MANCHESTER SQUASH ACADEMY

The Manchester Squash Academy is a legacy programme of the 2002 Commonwealth Games, established to develop future squash talent.

The academy attracts the best juniors from around Manchester and the wider squash community, inviting them to train with players of similar ability at the National Squash Centre. Since 2002, players from the programme have represented their county team, regional team and the England national junior team.

PLAY ON OUR SHOW COURT

Did you know you are able to play on the show court here at the National Squash Centre! 

Play on the same court as the professional players from the PSA Manchester Open, British National Squash Championships and even the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

All of our courts can be booked on a pay as you go basis, no membership required.

SQUASH GIRLS CAN

An adult session aimed towards female beginner players. A fun way to get fit and learn the fundamentals of squash, offering a great social environment led by England Squash qualified coaches.

OUR INTERACTIVE SQUASH WALL

InteractiveSQUASH is the most sophisticated digital training system for racket sports on the market. Training module which have been designed in consultation with professional coaches and players to test movements and skills related to competitive play. 

InteractiveSQUASH's games are desgigned to get the whole family moving on the squash court. With a broad selection of different games, from retro arcade, to creative games and educational games, every game has been developed to be fun! All of the games help to improve players' skills like hand-eye coordination, reaction time and control!

Track your every move and shot, play games or switch to training mode in a massive virtual environment. This is a court you have never experienced before!

The InteractiveSQUASH app will allow you to track your high-scores whenever and wherever you want. The app records every game and training module you participate in and will give you instant feedback upon completion. Download the app before your visit, available from iOS and Android app stores.
