Palmer Park Leisure Centre – Two Year Anniversary
Join us to celebrate two years since Palmer Park Leisure Centre opened its refurbished doors to welcome residents to get active.
On Thursday 19th December 2024 we’re celebrating two years since the refurbished Palmer Park Leisure Centre opened. To celebrate, you’re welcome to take part in Swimming or the Gym for FREE between 9.30am – 12.30pm on 19/12/24.
Better took on the operation of Palmer Park Sports Stadium in 2021, with the centre closing its doors in April 2021 to undergo refurbishments as part of the £40 million invested into Reading’s Leisure Centres. Palmer Park Leisure Centre and Stadium as its now been called for the past two years, includes a new 6 lane 25m community pool, café, soft play, gym, programmable gym, party rooms, group exercise studio and group cycle studio built on to its existing athletics track and velodrome. The centre is fully accessible and boasts a pool pod which can lower users into the pool.
Over the last two years we’ve had over 450,000 visits to Palmer Park Leisure Centre, over 7,500 Fitness Classes delivered, and 7,000 Swimming Lessons taught!
