Talented athlete funding application window closes on 20th February
The application window for the GLL Sport Foundation will close on the 20th February 2025.
Applications are welcomed from aspiring athletes in Swindon for the free gym memberships and bursaries offered by the programme which has fostered talent up and down the country.
The GLL Sport Foundation (GSF) was launched 17 years ago by leisure operator and charitable social enterprise GLL, with the aim of supporting talented young athletes with funding and practical help.
GLL operate the leisure facilities in Swindon - under the ‘Better’ brand.
The programme continues to widen and deepen the opportunities that come through sport across all communities.
In 2024, GSF supported 41 athletes in insert partnership name here with a cumulative value of £26,650.
According the GSF research, a lack of money to compete in their favourite sport is the biggest threat to the sporting dreams of young people. Most people agree more should be done to support Britain’s talented young athletes achieve sporting success for the opportunities and national pride that stem from this.
GSF Awards include free access to Better Gyms and Leisure Centres across the UK.
